2010 No Boundaries 5K Race and Walk
2010 NO BOUNDARIES 5K!
Altamonte Sports and Programs along with Fleet Feet Sports are hosting the Second Annual “No Boundaries 5K Race and Walk” on Saturday, April 10, 2010, 7:30am at the Eastmonte Recreation Center. This event is for people of all ages and abilities. Proceeds will go to the Advisory Board for the Disabled to help complete the second phase of the “Boundless Playground” at Eastmonte Recreation Center.
The 5K Race and Walk course starts and ends at Eastmonte Recreation Center where multiple vendors will be on hand at the center providing water, fruit and other essentials prior to and after the race for all the participants. Also, children will have the opportunity to enter the 100 yard dash “Fun Run”, providing exciting and fun for the whole family.
The Advisory Board for the Disabled is aware that often children with disabilities cannot enjoy the simple pleasures of going to a playground with friends and family due to physical obstacles. The “Boundless Playground” ensures that all children can reach the highest platform, travel across universally accessible pathways and surfaces, offer elevated activity panels where children of all abilities can play together and enjoy sensory-rich activities that let the imagination soar!
We invite you to participate in this event to help raise awareness of the obstacles that children with disabilities face and to raise funds for the expansion of the “Boundless Playground”.
